Manchester City player review> Defenders, first team back four

Defenders. This place is the thinniest part in our squad. The worriying place is at the heart of the defence, despite 2 best defenders in the league that we posses in the form of Vincent Kompany and Joleon Lescot who is becoming world class when partnered with Kompany, the backup defenders is maybe needs more experience and more qualities. First, we list the First team back four, Second team followed by the backups and reserve.

FIRST TEAM

CLICHY--- LESCOTT---KOMPANY---RICHARDS

HART

Okay, firstly is our Left back. The first choice is Gael Clichy. Gael Clichy is more well known about his darting run to support the winger. Always an attacking  treat when overlapping. His defensive work is for me not consistent enough. Although he lack in defence, but he manage to cover that with his pace. He is a modern full back. His control of the ball is very good. He also can dribble and with pace that he got, he is a treat to the opposition right back. His Crossing is also Very good. For me, his position in Mancini squad next season is not in danger although Kolarov can really give challenge to him. His performance Last season manage him to push down Patrice Evra in France squad in EURO after first match in the group stage.

Our left centre back is not others than Joleon Lescott. He is become a revelation especially in last season. Nobody expect him to perform this well. At 30, he is on top form. Before this, he always make mistake, not really comfortable with the ball, the heavy touch, but in last season, he looks more assured with the ball. As he look comfortable with the ball, his passing become more safe and his height is a real asset for him. He and Vincent Kompany is really the best pair of center back in the league last season. The performance make him become the first choice centre back for England, and he is really one of the best performer for England. Although he and Kompany is the best pair, he shows the weakness without 'monster' Kompany. If paired with Kolo Toure or Savic, he not the best like when he plays beside Kompany. Despite the best partnership with Kompany, his place next season is in jeopardy. It is because the place that Manchester city lack last season is defenders. With kolo Toure's leg is ageing, and Savic who have potential but not have enough experience, Manchester City really need new defender atleast one and they will never search for second fiddle, Mancini must tried to get a world class defender to partnered with Kompany. Names such as Thiago Silva really make the mouth watered. So, my prediction next season, Lescott will become a very good backup for Kompany and his new partner.

RIGHT CENTRE BACK, who else if not our beloved captain, monsterous at the back, VINCENT KOMPANY. Lst season, he plays magnificinently. Although he is only a center back, he is really among the top three player is EPL last season. This is not from the view of Manchester City fans only, everybody acknowledge his performance. Without him, we will not get the trophy that we yearn for years. Almost no strikers who can pass him in one on one situation, no strikers who want to make strength battle with him. He is all rounder. His interception is the best, his tackling is superb, his passing is wonderfull, his header is dangerous, his leadership is excellent, his pace is very good and his determination to win is the cannot be compared, He is really the best centre back in EPL. Next season, we will see him again in Blue Sky jersy and the captain strip is at his hand, nobody can touch him.

RIGHT BACK. This is the place where Mancini get headaches. Why? Two best right back is in the squad in the shape of Micah Richard and Pablo Zabaleta. Who is the best among them? Both have their own quality. Last season shows that Micah is more preferred than Zabaleta especially at the first half of the season before injury struck him. This season shows his best ability as right back. First half of the season, it is hardly can be seen a right back in EPL better than Richard. His attacking ability  is a real treat becuase of powerful running that he has. He is not the best on the ball, but because of his physical presence, typical powerful run to the enemy territory really dangerous. This season also, we can see that his crossing is improved, although not good as Zabaleta. Although he give attacking treat, he is not a person who can harm enemy's goal by his shooting unlike Zabaleta who has ability to shoot. At back, he is another monstrous presence, with his physical and pace. Although sometime he lapse concentration, he will be much better next year. As vice captain, he really will improve next year. Next season, we can see him in starting line up again. His place is assured, but he must maintain his form, Zabaleta is always there to push him down.

Mancini shoud bring one world class centre back. Then, City will never be challanged next year.

Manchester City. It seems too late to congratulate our heroes in this season, but its better too late than never right. Although the feeling is almost gone because of the EURO  and the new season who is around the corner, but YOU are the best, Manchester City. It seems like my blood now really turn from red to light blue. Almost every important game I watch they playing. Sometime sloppy, sometime great, sometime unbelievable. Almost every game ears need to be turned deaf because of the fans for the other club is much more than our fan. Okay, lets move on to the real topic today, the players analysis.


1- GOALKEEPERS

Joe Hart
He is the best by distance compared to the others keeper. Although the other keepers cannot be compared to him because lack of time playing, he is really the best. His concentration is superb. There is no stupid error that is made him in full season from I remember. His reaction is almost the best in league. For next season, expecting he become more matured and become the best in the world. The moment for remember last season is almost scored the goal that can make City advance through for Europa league against Napoli, his header is really inches wide from the goal.

Costel Pantilimon
Signed on loan as the backup for Joe Hart before made permanent latter on. 25 years old, same as Hart. He made debut in League cup, playing only 4 game for City, but two of the game is against top team, Arsenal and MU. Against Arsenal in league cup, he plays solidly that make he earn the place on the goal for decisive third round FA cup against MU. He made remarks on that game where he saved Rooney penalty kick although he cannot save the follow up. As he is the backup for Joe Hart, Manchester City should not be worried in this position as these two players have years in front of them. More than 10 years later only we need to sign a new top class goalkeeper.

Stuart Taylor
Our third choice goalkeeper in season 11/12. because of the signing of Costel Pantilimon, he down the pecking order to become the third choice goalkeeper for The Champions. He is released by City at the end of season and currently become a free agent.

Gunnar Nielsen
Faroe Islander's goalkeeper, Nielsen is another goalkeeper for City in season 11/12. He not playing and make a bench for whole season. He is also released with Stuart Taylor and the end of the season.







So, now, Manchester City only have 2 goalkeepers. Mancini should not buy any goalkeeper next season. As for third choice goalkeeper, we should only use our academy youth product such as Eirik Holmen Johansen and Tom Halsall.

REDKNAPP FIRED? WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN TOTTENHAM??

redknapp.. today redknapp is sacked by daniel levy, tho owner of Totenham fc. this decision is really a desperate decision by Levy. many rumours are appeared that is causing the decision. for example is totenham failure to get champion league nex sem and others.

tp, what we want to talk about now is not the agenda behind the sacking of redknapp but how totenham fc cope with this decision. as we know, totenham is an established club in premier league. fourth in league in season 11/12 is the real indication about how totenham fare from the first season redknapp in charge. but how is Totenham before he is in charge? the manager before him is Juande Ramos. Totenham when in Juande Ramos hand is actually is a very good team already. With Lennon, Bale, Pav, King, and many more. but in season 08/09, 8 match in the league saw totenham only manage to get 2 points from possible 24. that is pretty awful record. Up steps Redknapp, he brings relegation cadidate totenham to respectable 8 at the end of season. Fourth in the next season, fifth in league and quater finalists in champion league 10/11 season and fourth for second time in season 11/12.

before talk about how totenham next season, lets look first at Redknapp signings for totenham, either the decision is good or not in my opinion for today team.

it can be seen that every manager is afraid at January transfer season. three players are bought is knows totenham well. From tactical point of view, it is a very good decision by redknapp. no matter how they play, this transfer shows that Redknapp is a really good technician.

The real quality of Redknapp is shown here. two fantastic signing, two very good signing is here to see. If Gallas's signing is fantastic, signing of world class playmaker/ forward Van Der Vart is majestic business. The addition good and young defensive midfielder in sandro who is considered cheap and also pienar who is a good player.

SO, Totenham that we can see today that play devastating attacking game before lose mind in 3 month before the summit of League is a team that is mainly from redknapp or worth saying Redknap's team.

what will happening to this team in next season. based on my prediction, two of readily unsettled world class player in this team will more want to leave the club, bale and modric. adebayour that want to make move to totenham permanent will now think twice before agreeing for pay cut without redknapp. 

based on the transfer statistic, it is shown that the Totenham herarki do not prefer big money move for one individual. they more prefer spending bulk of money to search for bargain. If thats true, David Moyes who is manager of everton is the best candidate to fill the gap left by Redknapp. 10 years at the club who budget is very limited but somehow manage to get among the top ten in league for 8 season. 

If totenham really get David Moyes, it is very hard for him to deliver. it is because, this is Redknap dinasty, if you make a wrong move, you will collapse. Why? because 4 season with Redknapp made his philosophy is completely absorbed by the players. Too early changes in philosophy is a good way if you really have backing from Levy and 100% sure that they will not sacked you if the team do not deliver because it will not become as good as Redknapp's Tottenham. If Moyes is really accept totenham job, he must mentally fit to absorb the ambitious owner. And the owner also must know that he must accept declining to ensure the progress of the team to become a force to be reckoned with once more.
